Technical Programming Services, Inc. (TPSi) Successfully Completes Type 1 SAS 70 Audit
Tulsa, OK — February 2010 — TPSi, a major provider of business-to-consumer print and electronic output solutions has recently completed a SAS 70 Audit of its document processing, mailing and online electronic statement (eStatement) processes and controls. The scope of the audit included both paper and electronic statement processing, including mail processing. Also included in the audit were organizational policies, personnel policies, security policies and computer operations.
SAS 70 is an acronym for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Statement on Auditing Standard (SAS) No. 70, titled “Reports on the Processing of Transactions by Service Organizations”. SAS 70 defines the professional standards service auditors use to assess a company’s internal controls.
TPSi sought the audit for three reasons:
- To receive an unbiased outside evaluation of internal controls and procedures - and make any necessary adjustments.
- To provide current customers with an unbiased third party assessment regarding integrity and security of data files and sound functional processes.
- To provide future customers with the assurance their statement processing needs will be handled with the utmost degree of professionalism, control and security.
